"We urge pilgrims to maintain their stamina, drink lots of water, and obey the instructions from the officials. The weather is quite hot, so it is important to maintain condition," the Ministry of Hajj Spokesperson Ichsan Marsha said in Jakarta on Friday.
By the fourth day, 15,349 people from 40 flight groups have departed for the Holy Land. Of these, 9,884 people from 25 groups have arrived in Medina.
Among them, 93 people received outpatient care, two were transferred to the Indonesian Hajj Health Clinic (KKHI), and one was referred to the Saudi Arabian Hospital (RSAS).
"We pay serious attention to the health aspect. Every report serves as the basis for strengthening services, so that pilgrims can perform pilgrimage safely and comfortably," he said.
The Ministry also expressed its condolences over the passing of Hajj pilgrim from Group SOC-3, Rodiyah (68), due to a heart attack.
According to him, the government ensures that her rights are fulfilled, including the implementation of the Hajj pilgrimage.
The Ministry emphasized to Hajj Pilgrimage Organizers (PPIH) embarkation officers to minimize ceremonial activities during the departure because they could impact the pilgrims' fitness.
The government also reiterated its commitment to providing Hajj services that are friendly to the elderly, people with disabilities, and women, as state support for Hajj services.
