Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Saturday evening (May 2) convened a closed-door meeting with cabinet and related state officials to discuss strategic issues, particularly on education and security.

"The president presided over the limited meeting in Hambalang, Bogor, with several members of the Kabinet Merah Putih," according to the information published by the presidential Instagram account @presidenrepublikindonesia on Sunday.

During the meeting at Prabowo's residence in Bogor, Wes Java, the president discussed several strategic issues, including education policies, coincided with the National Education Day, and the development of down-streaming policies for public interest.

The meeting also discussed on defense and security policies to maintain national stability amidst global tensions.

The ministers of Kabinet Merah Putih, who attended the meeting, include Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin; Foreign Minister Sugiono; Higher Education, Science, and Technology Minister Brian Yuliarto; State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi; and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

Meanwhile, the military and police chiefs joining the meeting were TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, TNI Deputy Commander General Tandyo Budi Revita, as well as Army Chief of Staff General Maruli Simanjuntak and Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Muhammad Ali.

Also attending the forum were State Intelligence Agency Chief Herindra, Government Communication Agency (Bakom) Head Muhammad Qodari, and Deputy Communication and Digital Minister Angga Raka Prabowo.
