Danantara Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Sigit Puji Santosa led the SOE Digital Transformation Coordination Meeting, which was attended by around 60 major SOE holding companies.
The digital transformation promoted by Danantara includes comprehensive strengthening of business models, customer experience, operating models, technology infrastructure, as well as data governance and utilization.
“With a more comprehensive and integrated approach that impacts the operational level of SOEs, Danantara aims to ensure that digital transformation does not stop at the planning stage, but instead delivers tangible performance improvements in each SOE,” Santosa said in a statement here on Friday.
In certain areas with high levels of duplication, such as technology spending, digital infrastructure, licensing, and shared services, synergy among SOEs is expected to create efficiency with initial estimates reaching 25-40 percent, depending on the characteristics and readiness of each SOE.
In the coordination meeting, he emphasized the importance of a coordinated digital transformation approach across the SOE ecosystem.
“Danantara has a central role in aligning direction, platforms, talent, and governance so that every digital initiative within SOEs does not run separately, but is able to deliver efficiency, performance improvement, and collective added value for the country," he explained.
He also said that SOEs need to adapt to the rapid development of technology, especially in artificial intelligence (AI), advanced analytics, post-quantum readiness, and cybersecurity.
In addition, Danantara also encourages the development of strategic domestic technologies such as sovereign AI, sovereign cloud, and other future technologies to strengthen national capabilities.
