If the economy grows well, the number of job opportunities will increase, Boediono said here in a gathering with high school students and teachers, Saturday.
Therefore, the government continued to improve the national economy to provide more job opportunities, he said.
With regard to this, talking to high school students, Boediono said that the National School Examination (UN) is necessary to assess and gauge abilities of the students as well as graduation standards.
In the meantime, South Sumatra Governor H Alex Noerdin said the provincial administration was drawing investors to improve the province`s economic growth.
Being host for the 2011 Sea Games, South Sumatra gained investors to build Tanjung Api-api Harbor, he said, adding that the harbor would provide job opportunities for more than 100 thousand people.
In the gathering, the Vice President is accompanied by his wife, Herawati Boediono, Education Minister Muhammad Nuh, Home Affairs Minister Gamawan Fauzi, Public Works Minister Djoko Kirmanto, and Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Andi Malarangeng.
