Moscow (ANTARA News/Xinhua-OANA) - At least four people were killed and six others wounded when a blast ripped through a cafe in Russia`s volatile southern republic of Dagestan, RIA Novosti news agency reported early Thursday.

A car bomb exploded in front of a cafe in the city of Khasavyurt late Wednesday, local police said.

"Our hospital received three dead and seven injured. One of the injured later died during a surgery," RIA quoted a spokesman for a local hospital as saying.

It was the second car bombing in Khasavyurt in the past two weeks. On Jan. 14, a similiar attack killed four and wounded five in the city.

Violence is common for Russia`s North Caucasus republics of Chechnya, Dagestan and Ingushetia with militants frequently assaulting police officers and authorities.
