"There is a shake-up but not in president director`s position. So I deny a report that Ibu (Mrs) Karen will be replaced," the minister said here on Tuesday.
The minister said his ministry as the main shareholder of the firm was conducting a fit-and-proper test on a number of people to fill the post of Pertamina`s upstream affairs director.
"If we conduct a fit-and-proper test on a number of names that means that we are going to select the best candidate," Mustafa said.
He said the results of the test could not yet be made public because it was still in progress.
Rumors have earlier circulated that the change in the board of directors of Pertamina included its president director, Karen Agustiawan.
It was also rumored that Karen who was born in Bandung in 1958 and had just occupied the Pertamina president director`s post since February 2009, would replace the minister for energy and mineral resources. (*)
