Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Graft convict Gayus Tambunan arrived at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) office for a resumption of an investigation of corruption and tax evasion charges.

Gayus arrived at the KPK office in Jakarta on Wednesday at 10.00 a.m. tightly guarded by KPK`s investigators.

Previously, Gayus was scheduled to be investigated on Wednesday (Feb 2) or Friday (Feb 4).

According to KPK chairman Busyro Muqqodas, KPK would be involved in Gayus cases by investigating the flow cash of the convict.

KPK would also sort the case based on the strongest evidences and the highest loss to the country, he said.

Gayus had also been charged with a false passport and involvement in prosecutor Cirus Sinaga and is under investigation by the Crime and Investigation Division of the National Police.

Gayus has been sentenced to seven years in jail by the South Jakarta District Court for bribery and tax manipulation of PT Surya Alam Tunggal/ (*)
