"No one has been named," he said after attending a cabinet limited meeting at the office of the coordinating minister for political, law and security affairs here on Monday night.
Regarding national police`s guarantee that there would be no more violent acts done on behalf of religion, Timur said that his side would make maximal prevention efforts.
On Sunday, about 1,500 villagers in Cikeusik subdistirct, Pandeglang district, Banten province, attacked Ahmadiyah followers in Umbulan village.
The clashes were fueled by the arrival of Ahmadiyah followers from Bakasi (West Java).
Three Ahmadiyah followers were killed and tens of others were injured during the clash.
In order to prevent the recurrence of the incidents military and police officers were deployed in the location.
Police questioned eight people on Monday in connection with the incident. "Right now we are questioning eight people as witnesses but none of them has as yet been detained," the National Police`s public information chief, Senior Commissioner Boy Rafli Amar, said.
The eight witnesses were residents of the village where the incident occurred.
"An investigation is still being conducted and we already have data on the identities of the perpetrators," he said.
He said the National Police Headquarters had also sent reinforcements to help local police investigate the case.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has called for a thorough investigation into Sunday`s violence against Ahmadiyah followers in Cikeusik.
Speaking at a press conference at his office here on Monday President Yudhoyono said an investigation had to be made so that those who were guilty in the incident that left three peole dead would be known.
"I have instructed a thorough investigation to know the cause of the incident and what had really happened with the aim of finding and punishing those guilty of violating the law," he said. (*)
