"One suspect surrendered to the Sukorejo police in Kendal on Sunday night (Feb 13)," Central Java police chief Inspector General Edward Aritonang said here on Monday.
The one who surrendered to the police was Muslih (23) who has two home addresses namely in Sigedong hamlet, Tretep subdistrict, Temanggung and Banon hamlet, Purworejo village, Kendal, Central Java.
Edward made the statement on the sidelines of a meeting of local community and religious leaders at the Central Java police headquarters.
"Right now all the suspects are still being interrogated intensively," he said.
The suspects had earlier been moved from Temanggung to the Central Java police headquarters to ease processing.
Two churches have been burned and another one vandalized in a rioting last Tuesday triggered by dissatisfaction over a sentence considered too lenient to a defendant ruled having blaspheming religions.(*)
