But all of the politicians who attended the meeting were tight-lipped.
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono gathered politicians of the Democrat Party (PD) at the State Guest House here on Wednesday.

The meeting which lasted for two hours from 3 pm to 5 pm was attended by House of Representatives (DPR) Speaker Marzuki Alie, Chairman of the PD faction in the House Jafar Hafsah and General Chairman of the Democrat Party Anas Urbaningrum.

Besides, the meeting was also attended by Secretary of PD`s Advisory Council Andi Mallarangeng who is also minister of sports and youth affairs, Manpower Minister Muhaimin Iskandar, who is also general chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB).

But all of the politicians who attended the meeting were tight-lipped.

They were only waving from afar towards journalists who were unable to enter the premise of the State Guest House before leaving.

There was no immediate information about the agenda they had e discussed but on Tuesday the president spoke about political parties in the government coalition.

He said on Tuesday political parties in the government coalition that had not met their commitments could no longer remain in the alliance.

At a press conference at the Presidential Office, the President said that sanctions would of course be given to political parties in the coalition that had not fulfilled their commitments.

"In the days ahead, sanctions will be imposed (on those who don`t fulfill their commitments). In the coalition overhaul we will shortly carry out, if a political party is no longer prepared to honor the agreement it has made with me some time ago, it will of course not be possible for it stay in the government coalition," the president said.(*)
