"This supports an intelligence report that we have received that there is nothing serious regarding the news."Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Presidential spokesman Julian Aldrin Pasha said there was no data or intelligence information on the so-called "Islamic Revolutionary Council" allegedly intending to topple the present government.
"Based on intelligence data so far, at least until March 21, 2011, there is no indication of the existence of the so-called `Islamic Revolutionary Council`," Julian said at the presidential office here Thursday.
He made the statement following an Al Jazeera news saying that there was a revolutionary movement in Indonesia intending to topple the government.
The government would stick to the data and information its intelligence agencies had obtained or collected, he said.
Therefore, the government would not comment on the news because the intelligence agencies had so far found no clues on the existence of an organization called "Islamic Revolutionary Council."
"This supports an intelligence report that we have received that there is nothing serious regarding the news," he said.
Julian had reported to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono after Al Jazeera aired the news on March 21, 2011. On the same day, he also talked to Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto about the matter.
According to Julian, Minister Djoko knew about the information. The minister had even become aware of the issue 10 days before the information was given.
