"Another suspect known by his initial as HS (has been arrested) who is the friend of other debt collectors," Jakarta Metropolitan Police head of public relations Senior Commissioner Baharudin Djafar said here on Monday.
Baharudin said HS was recorded as a debt collector from a different company that cooperates with Citibank.
Police investigators found indications HS contacted Irzen a day before the death incident.
Right now the police had held HS for his alleged involvement in the death of Irzen who was also secretary general of the Nation United Party (PPB).
The South Jakarta police had named four suspects in connection with the case so far namely by their initials H, D (debt collector), A and BT (Citibank employee).
The police have only given a report order to BT because he was not at the site when the incident happened.
The five suspects are facing multiple charges that could send them years in jail.
Irzen died while at a Citibank branch office at Jamsostek Tower in South Jakarta on March 29 to clarify his debt reaching Rp100 million.
While at the office he was allegedly being intimidated and lightly tortured causing him to die.
