Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Forestry Minister Zulkifli Hasan said, he would report a number of license abuses committed by mining and plantation companies to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

Hundreds of companies in three provinces in Kalimantan violated license procedures, the minister said when handing over the license certificates of professional certification foresters agency.

"Not only seventies of companies, but hundreds of mining and plantation companies which make the forest encroachment. Thus, we will report them to the KPK," he said.

Hundreds of companies that indicated to have abused of procedural consent was in three provinces in Kalimantan, namely in East Kalimantan, West Kalimanan and Central Kalimantan, he said.

They do not have forest clearing license for plantations, nor the right of land use for mining companies, the minister said, adding that he had assigned the forestry office staffers to investigate a number of companies.

In addition, Director General of Forest Protection and Nature Conservation, Forestry Ministry, Darori said that about 100 companies which allegedly violated the rules were indicated in Central Kalimantan, West Kalimantan and East Kalimantan.
