"The essence is their planned action would be covered by overseas, international networks," head of National Police Headquarters public information, Senior Commissioner Boy Rafli Amar, said here on Saturday.
He said the terrorist cell led by P planned their terror action could be directly covered by international media.
He said according to initial results of investigation the terrorists needed international publication of their action. They wished it would affect their struggle if it could be known widely.
Investigators alleged P had cooperated with a cameraman of a private television station known as IF to find international media that could cover their planned terror action in Gading Serpong.
Boy said investigators were still investigating IF`s involvement in the terrorist cell led by P.
He reiterated that IF`s arrest was not done in connection with his capacity as a television station cameraman.
Until now investigators had not as yet found any indication of involvement of a foreign media in the planned terror bombing of the terrorist cell led by P. (*)
