Tripoli (ANTARA News/Reuters) - Libya`s government said on Sunday it regretted the attacks on several European embassies, saying its police force was overpowered by crowds angered by a NATO airstrike that killed the son of Muammar Gaddafi.

Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Kaim said Libya would survey the damages to foreign missions and repair them.

He said the embassies attacked included the British and the Italian and the U.S. commercial and consular affairs department. (*)
