"The two men are suspected to have robbed the BCA ATMs in Jakarta and Solo (Central Java)," Adjunct Senior Commissioner Herry Heryawan, head of the Jakarta Police`s criminal investigation department said here on Tuesday.
Agus and Aditya previously worked for the BCA ATM charging money service company, PT Armarindo, Herry Heryawan said.
According to Herry, both robbers know the money charging technic and the ATM work system, so they misused their knowledge to break the cash drawer machine.
Herry said the suspects took out the money by using the normal ATM card, and then damaging the cashing part in order to turn off the power machine.
Agus was arrested in Magetan, East Java on Sunday (May 15), based on the report of a burglary on an ATM in Cilandak Town Square, South Jakarta.
Agus confessed to have broken the BCA ATMs at the Mangga Dua mall, Gambir railway station, Carrefour Pabelan, Villa Mas Melati, Banyumanik railway station. In such stealing action, Agus said he cooperated with Aditya and Imam Suadji who is still at large.
Aditya was caught in Cijantung, Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta on Sunday (May 15).
Meanwhile, head Jakarta Police Public Relations affairs, Commissioner Baharudin Djafar here on Monday that in the robbery case, BCA lost cash worth Rp460 million. (*)
