The president will receive the three UN officials from 9 to 11 am local time on Wednesday before leaving Geneva for Tokyo, Japan, at 12 am or 5 pm Western Indonesia Standard Time (WIB).
The three UN officials President Yudhoyono will receive are UN Office in Geneva (UNOG) Director General Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, WHO Director General Margaret Chan, and UN Secretary General special envoy for disaster risk reduction Margareta Washington.
Presidential special staff for foreign affairs Teuku Faizasyah said President Yudhoyono and WHO director general at the meeting would discuss the implementation of Millennium Development Goals (MDG).
After the meeting with the three UN officials, President Yudhoyono and his entourage will leave for Japan for a state visit from June 16-18, 2011.
In Japan, the president will hold a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Naoto and deliver a general lecture on "Responding to International Challenges, Strengthening Indonesia-Japan Relations," at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) in Tokyo.
Before leaving for Geneva on Monday, President Yudhoyono said in Jakarta that his visit to Japan was at the invitation of Japanese Emperor Akihito.
The president will also deliver a letter from Aceh tsunami-affected children to their Japanese peers who suffered the same fate not long ago.
Yudhoyono said his visit to Japan was to express sympathy and empathy to the victims of the deadly earthquake and tsunami that hit the country last March 2011.
"We are going to visit the disaster-hit area in Japan to meet tsunami victims and give them our assistance and to deliver a letter from Aceh children to their friends of the same fate in Japan," President Yudhoyono said before leaving Jakarta on Monday.
