"The people can use this if they have no time to visit a police office. If they lost something they can report it to the police mobile counter," the Police chief said when he officiated the operations SPM at the Bhayangkara Square here on Wednesday.
The SPM is a minibus modified in such a away so that it has a service counter that enables people to file a report or complaint to police.
"The people can use this if they have no time to come to the police. This is a form service in conformity with the need of people who have no time or live far away from police stations," the police chief said.
For the first stage, the police have prepared two counters and 40 SPM minibuses which would be stationed in Jakarta.
He said that police personnel who carry out their duties on this SPM services should understand and be able to operate computer, legal matters and communications.
The mobile service counters are purely designed for the public whose number continues to increase. Police budget is limited but the people are expected to have care, he said.
