"The funds would be used to improve three ports in Wakatobi which would be used for organizing the Wakatobi Belitong sail activities in August 2011," head of Wakatobi transportation service, Syarifuddin said here on Sunday.
The three ports that would be improved and be financed with the funds are the ports of Wangi-Wangi, Kaledupa and Pulau Tomia.
He said that the works on the three ports had begun and were expected to be completed early in August 2011 at the latest.
"Before the sail activities are held early in August all works on the three ports are expected to have been completed," he said.(*)
