Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono called on all parties including cadres from his Democrat Party to honor the country`s judicial procedures.

"The law is the law. (It applies) to all, including cadres from the Democrat Party," he said in an interview with a private radio station here on Monday.

Yudhoyono as the chief patron of the Democrat Party made the statement in connection with the corruption case at the 26th SEA Games athlete village development project that involves the party`s former treasurer Nazaruddin and implicated a number of other party cadres.

He said there must never be discrimination in law enforcement and all citizens including law enforcers must respect the rule of law.

President Yudhoyono specially asked Nazaruddin to return to Indonesia and meet the summons of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

Presidential spokesman Julian A Pasha had said President Yudhoyono had already asked the police chief, General Timur Pradopo, to coordinate with the KPK to arrest Nazaruddin.

"The President`s order to the police chief is immediately coordinate with the KPK chief to take further steps to search and arrest (Nazaruddin)," he said.

General Timur Pradopo meanwhile had also expressed police readiness to cooperate with the KPK to send Nazaruddin back to the country.

He said the cooperation would certainly be done through international police.

"We will send him back home to account for his acts judicially," he said.
