Nusa Dua, Bali (ANTARA News) - The 5th Indonesian International Cocoa Conference (IICC) and Dinner 2011 will be held in Nusa Dua, Bali, on July 7 and 8, 2011.

Organizing committee chairman Antonius Pasaribu said here on Wednesday that the conference would discuss the latest cocoa industrial condition.

"The conference is scheduled to be opened by Agriculture Minister Suswono on July 7 and closed by Trade Minister Mari Elka Pangestu on July 8, 2011," Antonius Pasaribu said.

He said this year`s conference, Organized by the Indonesian Cocoa Association (Askindo), has gained a very positive response from stakeholders worldwide.

"They will actively participate in the international cocoa conference as speakers and moderators," Antonius said.

He added that in the conference, themed "Working Together for a Better Cocoa Future", the participants would discuss a number of interesting issues such as the current condition of the cocoa industry, cocoa sustainability, certification, and cocoa future prospects.

"Issues related to the business of the commodity will also be discussed at the 5th Indonesian International Cocoa Conference at Westin Hotel in Nusa Dua," Antonius said, adding that a number of world cocoa organizations would also attend the event.

He said the conference would be attended by representatives from the International Cocoa Organization (ICCO), World Cocoa Foundation (WCF), Cocoa Merchants Association of America (CMAA), Ghana Cocoa Board (GCB), Cocoa Association of Asia (CAA), Federation of Cocoa Commerce (FCC), and the Malaysia Cocoa Board (MCB).
