Jakarta (ANTARA News) - A Golkar Party executive said that the party had lost three of its important cadres to the National Democrat (Nasdem) mass organization.

"Frankly speaking, we lost three cadres as they are now active in the Nasdem (Nasional Demokrat) mass organization," Golkar Party Associate Chairman Priyo Budi Santoso said at the parliament building here on Tuesday.

He said he hoped Golkar cadres who are now active in Nasdem could prioritize their loyalty to their party, namely Golkar.

Asked about his view on Golkar Party cadres who are now in Nasdem which declared itself to be a political party here on Tuesday, Priyo said if the Nasdem Party would participate in the 2014 general elections, those Golkar cadres would have to choose either to remain in or quit Golkar.

"Anyone who joins another party must choose whether he/she would be loyal to Golkar Party or quit," he said.

Priyo admitted that some of Golkar`s potential cadres had become active in Nasdem such as Syamsul Muarif, Ferry Mursidan Baldan and Jeffry Geovanie.

Syamsul Muarif was a former secretary general of the Golkar Party and is now secretary general of Nasdem. Ferry Mursidan meanwhile was one of Golkar Party`s associate chairmen but is now a member of the Nasdem executive board. Jeffry Geovanie meanwhile is chief of the Jakarta Nasdem chapter.

"The Golkar Party has lost them," Priyo said.(*)
