Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and First Lady Ani Yudhoyono concluded a two-day working visit in Palembang, South Sumatra Province, and returned to Jakarta on Friday.

The head of state and his entourage arrived here aboard a special presidential plane which landed at Halim Perdanakusuma air force base at around 12 noon and performed Friday prayers at air force base complex moments later.

The president was scheduled to watch a wayang orang (traditional Javanese stage play) peformance at the State Palace on Friday evening.

President Yudhoyono was in Palembang to kick off a coordinating meeting of Sumatra governors and pay visit to the upcoming SEA Games` venue.

Yudhoyono also dedicated the building of a 2x110 MW Mulut Tambang Bajarsari steam power plant (PLTU) at Lahat district in South Sumatra on Friday.

The president dedicated the project through a video conference when he was in Palembang to give directives at a Sumatra Governors Coordination Meeting.

When speaking at a coordinating meeting of Sumatra governors here on Friday, Yudhoyono said that the nation has a well-prepared development plan and strategy, and therefore he was optimistic the development targets would be achieved.

"I am optimistic it`s achievable," Yudhoyono said. Indonesia has short, middle and long term development plans, he said.

Besides, Indonesia has also four development strategies, namely pro growth, pro poor, pro employment growth, and pro environment.
