Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)`s Ethics Committee on Wednesday questioned the anti-graft body`s spokesman, Johan Budi, for violating the code of ethics by holding a meeting with M Nazaruddin early last year.

"(The questioning) has been completed. It took nearly 45 hours," Johan said after the session with the Ethics Committee.

Johan, along with the KPK`s deputy chief Ade Rahardja held a meeting with Nazaruddin, former treasurer of the ruling Democrat Party who had been put on the police`s wanted list since he was named a suspect in a bribery case linked to a Sea Games athletes village project in Palembang, South Sumatra.

Nazaruddin left for Singapore a day before the KPK asked the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights to issue a travel ban for him on May 24 this year. He was caught at 2 am local time in Cartagena, Colombia, on Monday.

Johan said what the KPK`s ethics committee had questioned him about was the same as he explained to the mass media before. "The questions were the same as I have explained before," he said.

He said he was questioned starting at 10.00 am. on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the anti-graft body`s ethics committee was scheduled to question Ade Rahardja at 02.00 p.m. on that day for violating the code of ethics. Ade reportedly held meetings with Nazaruddin twice early last year.

Ade said earlier he would clarify his meetings with Nazaruddin to the KPK`s ethic committee.
