Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Bank Jabar Banten (BJB) will extend Rp40 billion in credits to PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (PKT) as part of a syndicated credit provision with a number of other banks, its director said.

BJB President Director Bien Subiantoro said here on Monday that his bank was doing its best to be active providing productive credits, including syndicated credits in the construction of PKT`s Kaltim-5 fertilizer factory worth Rp1.34 trillion.

Besides BJB, the financing syndication also involved other banks such as Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), Bank Central Asia (BCA) and Bank Pembangunan Daerah (BPD) Kaltim.

Bank Mandiri has been appointed the mandated lead arranger for the financing syndication for PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (PKT) worth Rp1.35 trillion and US$337 million.

The credit syndication agreement was signed by Bank Mandiri President Director Zulkifli Zaini, Institutional Business Director of BRI Asmawi Saym, BCA Director Dahlia M. Ariotedjo, BPD Kaltim President Director Zainuddin Fanani, BJB Commercial Director Entis Kushendar and PKT President Director Aas Asikin Idat.

State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Minister Mustafa Abubakar and President Director of fertilizer firm PT Pusri Arifin Tasrif witnessed the signing of the agreement.

The syndicated credit will mature in 10 years with a grace period of 3.5 years. The funds will be used to build the Kaltim 5`s ammonia and urea fertilizer factories. (*)
