the home-bound travelers by trains would also have special attention from the police for possible sabotage and terrorism by irresponsible parties...Semarang, C Java (ANTARA News) - The safety and security of this year's Lebaran holiday travelers become the priority of the police, National Police Chief Gen Timur Pradopo said in Semarang on Saturday.
"The security of holiday travelers is our priority and therefore we have made various anticipations of possible security disturbance against them," Timur Pradopo said when inspecting the preparations for holiday exodus at Tawang railway station.
Pradopo and Transportation Minster Freddy Numberi inspected the railway station in Semarang, Central Java, to obtain first hand information about the preparation to make the holiday travelers enjoy a pleasant and comfortable trip.
According to the national police chief, the home-bound travelers by trains would also have special attention from the police for possible sabotage and terrorism by irresponsible parties.
Pradopo said Central Java was the tired point for East Java bound travelers from Jakarta and West Java.
"Therefore the travelers who feel tired are advised to take a rest at a number of resting places, provided for them by the local government," said the national police chief in the company of Central Java Police Chief Insp Gen Didiek Sutomo Triwidodo.
Meanwhile, Transportation Minister Freddy Numberi said overall preparation for the holiday travelers in general was good enough.
"Based on reports that I have received, the preparation for the travelers during the holiday exodus at the northern highway of Java was good enough and I hope everything will run smoothly," Freddy Numberi said.
He also expressed hope that the people would participate in helping the police ensure security and safety for the home-bound and returning holiday travelers.
It is approximately more than 15 million home-bound travelers around Indonesia and from abroad in this year's Lebaran. (O001)
