Nagreg, West Java (ANTARA News) - In his Ramadhan safari in West Java on Thursday, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono asked all related parties to periodically evaluate the construction of the Nagreg ring road.

"The ranks of Public Works Ministry and Police should make an overall evaluation of he construction of the Nagreg ring road to find out if there is any shortcoming," President Yudhoyono said when inspecting preparation of the road for Lebaran holiday travelers.

President Yudhoyono specifically asked the police to anticipate possible traffic jams and accidents on the Nagrek ring road.

In the company of First Lady Ani Yudhoyono, the president asked the police to place speed-limit signs at every corner of the road in addition to stepping up patrols and reminding drivers to reduce the speed of their vehicles on the road.

According to the head of state, the speed limit signs were important because the slanting Nagrek ring road was prone to accidents.

From Nagreg, the president and his entourage will proceed to Tasikmalaya on Wednesday afternoon to greet the local community as part of his Ramadan safari.

In Tasikmalaya the president will visit visit Kawalu community health center, Haryati embroidery craft center in Cikebo village.

Tasikmalaya city administration spokesman Asep Maman Permana said

the president would also visit Al-Hasanah Islamic boarding school in Cibeuti village to break the fast with the school`s management.

Asep said President Yudhoyono`s visit to Tasikmalaya on Wednesday would be the third of its kind.
