Bratislava (ANTARA News) - Palestinians living in Slovakia`s capital Bratislava met Friday to support the Palestinians` bid for statehood in the United Nations.

"We have fulfilled all conditions for establishing our state at the borders of 1967," Abdelrahman Bsaiso, Palestinian ambassador to Slovakia, said during the meeting.

"There is no objective obstacle to prevent this state from coming into existence except for Israel and its stubbornness," he added, "We have even over-fulfilled these conditions and we have done it more completely than some of the existing UN members."

Dozens of Palestinians, who came to study in the former Czechoslovakia in 1970s and 1980s, have opted to stay in Slovakia.

On Friday morning, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas formally presented an application letter to the UN chief in a bid to seek the world body`s recognition of Palestine as a full member state.(*)
