Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA News) - Forty-six people have been taken to Sanglah Hospital following a 6.8 magnitude quake in Bali at 10.16am on Thursday.

The hospital`s head of medical services, Dr Ken Wirasandi, said "according to our data 46 people have been treated at the hospital but only seven of them need further observation. The rest has returned home. Most of then suffered light head injuries."

Meanwhile, he said, if the conditions of the seven victims did not improve in two hours they would be asked to stay in the hospital for further treatment.

He said most of the victims were students of SMKN 2 in Denpasar. Head of the school, I Wayan Sarjana, said 28 eight studenets and two teachers of the school had been injured in the quake but "only one teacher and three students were still undergoing treatment."
