January 2010 to June 2011 Indonesia's total wealth rose by US$ 420 billion to US$ 1.8 trillion...Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesia's wealth rose to US$ 1.8 trillion or Rp15,912 trillion from January 2010 to June 2011, Credit Suisse Research Institute reports. This means Indonesia pays contribute in a significant way to global wealth growth.
"From January 2010 to June 2011 Indonesia's total wealth rose by US$ 420 billion to US$ 1.8 trillion," Credit Suisse says in its second annual global wealth report released on Wednesday.
Credit Suisse said with its present wealth Indonesia had become one of 20 countries making the biggest contribution to global wealth growth.
In its report the institution also mentioned Asia Pacific as the main contributor to the world's wealth growth contributing 36 percent of global wealth creation since 2000 or 54 percent since January 2010.
"The total global wealth has risen 14 percent from US$ 203 trillion in January 2010 to US$ 231 in June 2011," it says.
According to Credit Suisse developing countries will remain the engine of global wealth growth.
"The fastest economic growth happens in Latin America, Africa and Asia," it says. (KR-IAZ)
