W Nusa Tenggara (ANTARA News) - Malaysian Prime Minister (PM) Datuk Sri Najib Razak is scheduled to meet Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, where the latter is making a working visit from October 19 to 21, 2011.

The two neighboring countries` leaders meeting is an annual event and this year the island of Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, was chosen as the vanue coinciding with the president`s visit to inaugurate Lombok International Airport and a "groundbreaking" ceremony in the Mandalika Resort area.

Lombok`s airport started operating last October 1, 2011, and was tol be inaugurated by the President later.

Prime Minister Najib and his wife, Datin Sri Rosmah Mansor, and their entourage are scheduled to arrive at Lombok International Airport on Thursday (Oct 20) at 11.00 pm and return home from the newly inaugurated airport at 16.30 pm.

The special meeting between Najib and Yudhoyono would take place after a luncheon during Najib`s short visit.

After the country leaders` meeting, a bilateral meeting of both countries` delegations will also held which would be continued with the issuance of a joint press statement.

The bilateral meeting and official luncheon wouldl be held in Novotel hotel which is located in the tMandalika Resort area, about 10 kilometers south of the airport or about 70 kilometers from the city of Mataram, the capital of the province.

"Today is history for the West Nusa Tenggara because I will meet the Malaysian Prime Minister here (Lombok, red). We`ll be meeting in one of the Mandalika Resorts," said the president while inaugurating the International Airport of Lombok, Thursday (Oct 20).

Former Vice President Jusuf Kalla and his wife Hj Mufidah Jusuf Kalla were also seen in the international airport`s inauguration, besides a number of United Indonesia Cabinet II members and ministerial-level officials.(*)
