Denpasar (ANTARA News) - The tuna exports of the Indonesian tourist resort province of Bali are now declining due to less favorable world economic conditions and less friendly conditions of the country`s sea to fishermen, a trade official said.

"The value of the tuna exports has declined to 6.6 percent in the January - August 2011 period," Head of Bali`s Trade and Industry Service Putu Baginda said.

In the first eight months of 2011, the values of Bali`s tuna exports were recorded at 58.8 million, down from 63 million dollars in the same period in 2010.

In the January - August 2011, the value of Bali`s total fishery exports only accounted for 70.8 million dollars, down from the same period a year earlier which was 76.6 million dollars.
