Depok, W Java (ANTARA News) - Preparations for fencing matches as part of the 26th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) to start on Sunday in a University of Indonesia (UI) hall in Depok, West Java, are now 95 percent ready, competitions manager Kairuman said here on Friday.

"Although there are still some shortcomings in the supporting facilities, the preparations are 95 percent ready," Kairuman said, adding that the fencing matches would be participated in by seven countries, namely Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Brunei Darussalam.

Kairuman said supporting facilities for the matches had been installed and athletes from some participating countries had even conducted training in the UI hall.

A media center had also been set up on the left side of the arena.

Athletes from Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, and Brunei Darussalam had already come to the arena for tryouts, Karimun said. (*)
