"Our men have nabbed three men we suspect raped and robbed RS in angkot (urban transport vehicle) M-26 on the Kampung Melayu-Kalimalang route and are still pursuing a fourth suspect," Jakarta Metropolitan Police Chief Insp Gen Untung S Rajab said here Saturday.
Untung did not give the names of the three nor their initials.
Meanwhile, the head of the crime and violence subdirectorate of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Headquarters, Adj Sr Commissioner Helmy Santika, said before the arrests, police had disseminated sketches of the faces of the four rape and robbery suspects.
The pictures had been the police`s first clues about the suspect`s identities and had helped their arrest.
RS (40) was raped and robbed in the wee hours of last December while she was riding in a public transport minivan car to buy vegetables at the Kemiri Muka market in Beji, Depok, West Java. (*)
