The President called on the people not to worry too much as dynamism in political life was an inseparable part of democracy.
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono called on all government officials to keep working hard and concentrate on their work although this year`s political atmosphere was likely to heat up ahead of the 2014 general elections.

In his speech at the presentation of government industrial awards at the State Palace here on Thursday the President also invited all people to continue to maintain national stability although political competition would increase in fierceness and dynamics.

"I hope the overall situation in the country will remain stable despite the increasing political dynamics, despite the fact that politics can be become quite rough so that people can still enjoy a sense of peace and we can continue our development effort," he said.

Although the political atmosphere in the country in 2012 would heat up, the President called on the people not to worry too much as dynamism in political life was an inseparable part of democracy.

"This year we have come closer to 2014, so the political atmosphere is likely to heat up. This is normal in democratic system. So, do not worry," he said.
