Lebak, W Java (ANTARA News) - Minister for Development of Disadvantaged Regions Helmy Faizal Zaini will on Tuesday observe the Ciwaru suspended bridge which was hit by a flood in Sangiangtanjung village, Lebak Regency, West Java, a week ago, an official said.

"The minister will observe the damaged bridge as part of his visit to Pandeglang," chief spokesman of Lebak Regional Government Icha said here on Sunday.

Icha said that the suspended bridge which had served thousands of people, including school children, was heavily damaged after it was hit by a flood a week ago.

She said that the government will rebuild the 200-m Ciwaru suspended bridge with a fund of Rp1 billion taken from the regional government budget.

The suspended bridge which crossed over the Ciberang river connected Sangiangtanjung village in Kalanganyar sub district with Pasirtanjung village in Rangkasbitung sub district.
