"In late February we will again send a team to help Tuti and other Indonesian migrant workers facing legal problems," said Humphrey Djemat, a spokesman of the Satgas TKI, on Monday.
The team members plan to visit Tuti at a detention center in Thaif and they will also meet relatives of the victim, he said.
Tuti is currently accompanied by a team in Saudi Arabia, he said, adding that the task force hopes there would be a positive decision about Tuti in March.
Additionally, the task force has approached the Saudi Kingdom to issue a direction for forgiveness.
"We are doing our best, and we hope Tuti's case would be settled in March," he said.
Tuti Tursilawati from Cikeusik, Majalengka was sent by PT Arunda Bayu to Suud Malhaq Alutaibi, Thaif, Saudi Arabia, on September 5, 2009 as a housemaid.
On May 10, 2010, Tuti killed her male employer by hitting him with a wooden stick when she said he tried to rape her. She later tried to flee, but Saudi police arrested her in Thaif and, since then, she has been in jail.
The victim`s family has since asked the Saudi courts to impose the death penalty on Tuti.
In December 2011, former president BJ Habibie held a meeting with Prince Al Walid bin Talal Al Saud and asked for his help to receive forgiveness from the victim`s family.
According to the task force, the Saudi prince has promised to help Tuti and prevent her execution.(*)
