The organizing committee`s members included a number of press figures such as Chairman of the Press Publisher Association (SPS) Dahlan Iskan, Press Council Chairman Bagir Manan, Chairman of the Indonesian Journalist Association (PWI) and the National Press Day`s Organizing Committee Margiono, Chairman of the Indonesian Private Radio Stations (PRSSNI) Rohmad Hadiwijoyo, Tarman Azzam, Bambang Harymurti, August Parengkuan, Wina Armada Sukardi, Sofjan Lubis and Sabam Siagian.
President Yudhoyono was accompanied by Minister/State Secretary Sudi Silalahi, Cabinet Secretary Dipo Alam and Communication and Informatics Minister Tifatul Sembiring.
The National Press Day will be commemroated in Jambi, Sumatra, on February 9, 2012.(*)
