Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The House of Representatives (DPR) endorsed the establishment of a special committee on the National Security Bill at its plenary meeting here on Tuesday.

"Can we agree with the commissioning of the special committee on the National Security Bill?" DPR Deputy Chairman Pramono Anung, who led the plenary session, asked the forum.

He then banged the gavel down to endorse the special committee after the session`s attendants unanimously said "agree."

During the plenary session, the House also endorsed the structure and personnel of the special committee. The personnel consisted of members of the House Commission I on foreign affairs, Commission II on home affairs and Commission III on legal and regulations affairs.

Earlier, the National Security Bill had been deliberated by the working group whose members came from Commission I of the House.

But the commission returned the bill to the government after it received many notes from 12 relevant organizations with regard to the substance of the bill.
