Moscow (ANTARA News) - Chairman of the State Duma International Affairs Committee said Saturday that Russia is making its all-out efforts not to let settle Iran's nuclear dispute through military scenario.

Alexei Pushkov told IRNA that the Islamic Republic of Iran is Russia's old reliable partner.

Referring to the importance Moscow attaches to Tehran, Pushkov stressed that questions regarding Iran's nuclear program should be settled through diplomacy.

The Russian official then denounced the US and Zionists threats against Iran.

Commenting on the US military defense settlement in the Persian Gulf region, Pushkov said all world countries including Iran are concerned over the issue.

He added that this move is aimed at downgrading Iran's military capabilities.
