"I think this is the right time for New Zealand and Indonesia to develop closer bilateral relations."
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Visiting New Zealand Prime Minister John Key expresses hope his country would develop additional economic cooperation with Indonesia.

"The political and economic situation in Indonesia has been transformed in the last decade and created better living conditions for its people. I think this is the right time for New Zealand and Indonesia to develop closer bilateral relations," the prime minister said here on Monday at the opening ceremony of the Indonesia-New Zealand Business Seminar.

Key noted that New Zealand anticipates potential cooperation with Indonesia in sectors such as agriculture, energy, education and transportation.

"We are interested in seeing Indonesia`s growing market. Our free trade agreement with Indonesia will be a tool to develop business and investment cooperation in the future," said Key.
