"This is mere internal dynamics, which commonly happens in a political party. Differences of opinion are bound to happen not only in the Golkar party but also in other parties," he said here on Friday.
Aburizal confirmed that there had been differences within the party on Aburizal`s presidential candidacy, but it was not a problem and there was no cause to worry because the party would find a solution.
Priyo said that irrespective of the ideas and views expressed, the reference points were the party`s internal rules and the decisions made by the national leadership or the executive board`s plenum.
"The differences will end when the time comes and all sides must adhere to the party`s decision after it is taken," he added.
Priyo said that everybody in the party may express his or her opinion before a final decision was made, because of the party`s objective to develop a well-managed democratic system.
"There are no divisions. What has happened is differences of opinion, which is something quite common. Golkar does not prohibit having different views, as it is part of politics," he explained.
Priyo said everyone had a right to be nominated as a candidate but must abide by the rules and system in exercising it. (*)
