The colossal show will be conducted on Saturday (June 2), said the Bogor Cultural Festival organizing committee chairman, Bagus Karya Negara, here on Wednesday.
The Bogor Cultural Festival will be participated in by 5,000 people, Bagus said, adding that a total of 100,000 guests are expected to attend the festival and attract the attention of some 30 million audiences through mass media across the country.
"Actually UNESCO is an initiator of the event (the cultural festival) after we handed our proposal," Bagus said.
The cultural festival is also aimed to let the public know about harmonious relations in ethnic and tribal diversity in Bogor, he stated.
In addition, a cavalry supported by 15 horses will also include in a parade during the city`s anniversary celebration, Bagus noted.
According to him, fish catching competition in a lake that is locally called "Ubek Setu" will also be held to celebrate the city anniversary celebration, he said.
The fish catching competition will take place on June 24 in a five-hectare lake of Setu Gede village, where the West Java governor has promised to supply two tons of fish for the "Ubek Setu" competition. (*)
