The agreement was made at a meeting between Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra here on Friday, presidential aide for international relations Teuku Feisasyah said after the meeting.
He said the two heads of government agreed to immediately order the ministers concerned to follow up and finalize the agreement, especially "with regard to agriculture and fisheries."
In the field of agriculture he said Prime Minister Yingluck had expressed her country`s commitment to supplying one million tons of rice a year.
"The commitment agreed for now is assuring sufficient rice supply for Indonesia. They have reiterated their readiness to meet the target of meeting a million ton a year," he said.
With regard to investment he said President Yudhoyono had invited Thai investors to participate in the Indonesian Economic Development Expansion and Acceleration Master plan Projects (MP3EI).
The two heads of government had also agreed to increase investment and encouraged businessmen in the two countries to boost cooperation, he said.(*)
