Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and his entourage left Jakarta for Latin America on Friday afternoon, to attend the G-20 Summit in Los Cabos, Mexico.

The president will also attend the Rio+20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, before making a state visit to Quito, Ecuador.

Aboard the Presidential aircraft, the head of state and his entourage left the Halim Perdanakusuma military airbase at 2 pm Western Indonesian Time, for a two-week visit to Latin American countries.

Presidential special staff for international relations Teuku Faizasyah said President Yudhoyono was scheduled to deliver his keynote address at the Business 20 (B20) summit and then attend the Los Cabos Financial Inclusion event.

The President will also hold bilateral meetings with other heads of state at the G-20 Summit and is scheduled to attend the Rio+20 Summit on environment in Brazil on June 20-22.

Then, the head of state will attend a conference on green economy, titled "Leaders Valuing Nature: A Celebration of Commitments", followed by the UNESCAP Regional Commissions Joint Side Event.

From Brazil, President Yudhoyono will leave for Ecuador on a two-day state visit, where he will meet with his Ecuadorian counterpart, Rafael Correa Delgado, and President of Ecuadorian Parliament, Fernando Cordero.

The President and his entourage will return to Indonesia on June 26, 2012.(*)
