"Their remains will be flown by Hercules aircraft from Jakarta."
Madiun (ANTARA News) - Two of the ten Indonesian Air Force Fokker 27 crash victims in Jakarta will be buried in Madiun and Magetan regencies, East Java.

The two were First Sergeant Purwo Adianto and Chief Sergeant Wahyudi. The mortal remains of First Sergeant Purwo will be flown to Madiun the home of his parent in law in Nglames village, Madiun subdistrict, Madiun regency, while Chief Sergeant Wahyudi will be brought to his home in Tanjung village, Bendo subdistrict, Magetan regency.

One of the uncles of Chief Sergeant Purwo`s wife in Madiun, Suyadi, said Friday that he learned about Purwo Andianto`s death following the news about the Fokker crash on television.

"Then I phoned Purwo`s wife in Jakarta telling her that her husband was one of the victims," Suyadi told journalists.

Suyadi said Chief Sergeant Purwo Adianto came from Pamekasan regency, Madura, but since both Purwo Adianto`s parents had died the family agreed to bury Purwo Adianto in Madiun where the family of his parents in law lived.

First Sergeant Purwo Adianto (39) married Yuli Wijayanti in 1998 and had three children. After his marriage he joined the Air Foce and stayed in Jakarta.

Purwo`s mother in law, Marmini, had been crying intensively along with the other members of the family, while Purwo`s father in law Sumargono had already died two years ago. The family in the house of mourning has already made preparations to welcome the arrival of Chief Sergeant Purwo`s remains.

In the meantime, head of Information and Library Division of Iswahjudi Air Base in Madiun Major Sutrisno confirmed that two Indonesian Air Force members will be buried in their home towns.

"Their remains will be flown by Hercules aircraft from Jakarta, then on a transit in Solo before proceeding to Iswahjudi Air Base in Magetan. Then the remains of Purwo and Wahyudi will be transported by land to their respective home towns," he said.

The Fokker 27 went down in a Rajawali housing complex in Halim Perdanakusuma aiport, Jakarta, on Thursday (June 21), and killed 10 people of the Indonesian Air Force and civilians. The ill-fated Fokker 27 was having a routine training session.
