"Shipping and air transportation activities are still safe."
Manado (ANTARA News) - The waves in Sangihe and Talaud regencies, North Sulawesi, reached a height of up to two meters.

"We estimated that the waves reached a height of 0.75 to two meters. It is therefore hoped that fishermen with small boats need to be very careful," forecasting official of the Sam Ratulangi Meteorology Station of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency of North Sulawesi Nurhadi said in Manado Friday.

He said the height of the waves in Sangihe and Talaud waters are the same as in Maluku Sea.

It is only that in Sulawesi Sea the waves are smaller, only 0.5 to 1.25 meters.

Nurhadi said the sky in the regency/municipality for the whole day is mostly cloudy with rain in the afternoon.

In the meantime, the wind on the surface is blowing from the south to the west at a speed of 15-18 kilometers per hour, while the wind in a height of 3,000 feet is blowing from the southwest to the west at a speed of 10-25 kilometers per hour.

"With the wind blowing like this shipping and air transportation activities are still safe," he said.

On the other hand, minimum and maximum temperature in several regencies/municipalities ranged from 17-33 degrees Celsius.

Minimum and maximum temperature in Manado ranged from 21-33 degrees Celsius, in Bitung minimum and maximum ranged from 24-32 degrees Celsius, in Tomohon minimum and maximum from 17-27 degrees Cselsius, in Tondano in Minahasa regency from 18-28 degrees Celsius, and in South Minahasa minimum and maximum of 22-31 degrees Celsius.
