Emma Norma Soedharmono died of a complication of diseases at Pertamina Hospital.Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Vice President Boediono acted as the inspector of ceremony for the funeral of former vice president Sudharmono`s wife Emma Norma Rahma Sudharmono at the Kalibata National Hero cemetery here on Thursday.
"The funeral was conducted at 9 am with Vice President Boediono as the inspector of ceremony," Vice Presidential Spokesman Yopie Hidayat said here Thursday.
On Wednesday (July 18) night, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono paid last tribute to Emma Norma Soedharmono.
The President and entourage including First Lady Ani Yudhoyono arrived at the house of mourning at 9.20 p.m. He later went to the room where she was laid in state.
Emma Norma Soedharmono died of a complication of diseases at Pertamina Hospital in South Jakarta on Wednesday afternoon. She was 85.
She will be buried at the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery in South Jakarta on Thursday.
Former vice president Soedharmono died on January 25, 2006. He assumed the post of vice president in March 1988 for a five-year term.
