A number of villages in the border areas with North Sumatra were inundated by the flood waters , head of the Southeast Aceh Search and Rescue agency Juanda said on Monday.
A rescue team was still searching for the missing people , Juanda said.
He said a number of villages had been isolated as the floods had destroyed infrastructure including bridges.
The military helped clear the roads from rocks and sands left by the floods.
A number of houses were also destroyed or damaged, Juanda said. (ASG/YH)
