Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Yudhoyono has ordered the settlement of the corruption case allegedly involving police inspector general Djoko Susilo by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

The order was issued at a press conference here on Monday following a dispute between the two agencies over authority to tackle the case.

Yudhoyono held the press conference following an incident on October 5 when several police officers came to the KPK headquarters in an attempt to seize a KPK investigator, police commissioner Novel Baswedan, who is investigating the simulator case triggering protests from several quarters.

"The alleged corruption case in the procurement of driving simulators should be tackled by KPK and it must not be divided," he said.

Yudhoyono specifically ordered the police to tackle other cases which are not directly connected with the simulator case.
